3.  He had a mom, a dad, a younger sister and brother, and an older sister.  His mom took care of the house and his dad was a wealthy businessman.  He didn’t have good health so he didn’t get education at school. He was taught at his house.  He liked natural history and collected animals and called his collection the “Roosevelt National Museum of History “  He soon learned physical activities because he was skinny and weak.

4.  He married Edith Kermit Carow  Children: Theodore Jr., Kermit, Ethel, Archibald, and Quentin.  He loved to play with his children

5.  He was Vice President to President McKinley who was later shot so Roosevelt became president  In 1904 he chose Charles Fairbanks to be his vice president and they ran against Alton Parker

6.  He won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1906.  He was elected vice president in 1900 when William McKinley was president.  On November 8 th 1904.  William Taft was president after Theodore in 1909
