3 What is a staffing pattern? Estimates of occupational composition of specific industries or industry groups Varies from area to area and/or industry to industry An important indicator to understanding the local economy

4 How are staffing patterns developed? Primarily developed from the Occupational Employment Statistics (OES) survey The OES survey collects both wage data and information on employment by occupations within industries.

5 How are staffing patterns used? Developing occupational projections for employment by industry Identifying occupational employment activity within industries Establishing training and development plans on growing occupations
