What is a staffing pattern? Estimates of occupational composition of specific industries or industry groups Varies from area to area and/or industry to industry An important indicator to understanding the local economy

How are staffing patterns developed? Primarily developed from the Occupational Employment Statistics (OES) survey The OES survey collects both wage data and information on employment by occupations within industries.

How are staffing patterns used? Developing occupational projections for employment by industry Identifying occupational employment activity within industries Establishing training and development plans on growing occupations
