Recovering from the Plague After the plague, the population of Europe remained low for centuries - people fled the cities - economic growth slowed - religion flourished Society only truly recovered at the time of industrialization

From Agriculture to Industry Europe moved from an agricultural society to one based on industry - term: Industrialization – new technology that led to machines, factories, and increased production - increased urbanization – people moved back to the cities, where work and money was available
