November 2012 Updates: More about Hahgoot’s studies
2
Hahgoot enjoyed her BJE Jewish studies very much. She enthusiastically participated in the review exercises, sorting holiday symbols and customs.
3
A cool way for reviewing the material was making this little origami gadget, which was great fun!
4
Another nice activity was making imaginary computer games, related to the holidays: Top left: “chase Haman and eat his ears” (Purim) Top right: “Pharaoh stole the Aficoman – can you get it back?” (Passover) Bottom: “fight the bees to reach the honey and win apples” (Rosh Ha’shana)
5
We did only a few activities for Chanukah, as I knew she’ll get an overdose of this holiday while in Israel. Hahgoot enjoyed putting up a play about the holiday symbols (left), counting the candles (top right) and guessing the ingredients of Latkes.
6
Hahgoot enjoyed her Hebrew idioms project, coming up with creative ideas for illustrations.
7
Her favourite workbook was the Hebrew poetry workbook – and she finished all three in the series in record time!
8
She worked well in the workbooks I made for her about Hebrew grammar and said it helped her to improve her spelling mistakes.
9
At the gallery Hahgoot continued to work enthusiastically at her Art Box class with her nice tutor, Amanda.
10
Drawing from observation: unusual toolsDrawing from her imagination
11
Top: Alma enjoys waiting for the art class Bottom: Hahgoot (in purple) next to her friend from school, Angelina, drawing dolls from observation in class Right: watercolours

Alma had a great time at the park while we wait for Hahgoot to finish her class In our next presentation: More general updates from Hahgoot!
