2 French and Iroquois War From 1642-1698 By Vincent Ridings

3 Trading The French and Iroquois traded guns and fur at Dutch trading posts before the wars.

4 The Fighting Began As the Iroquois wanted more land they started attacking the French. Raiding farms and destroying small settlements.

5 The Iroquois Expand While the Iroquois were attacking the French they were expanding westward along the Great Lakes, pushing other tribes out of the area.

6 The French Retaliate The French stopped trading, and started attacking any Native American Tribes that were affiliated with the Iroquois Tribe.

7 The Treaty After a long 56 years the War between the Iroquois and the French ends with the treaty called the Treaty of Grande Paix or Grand Peace
