The aim of the debate was to encourage students think about their future, to think about how much their leisure time activities influence their future prospects, their future profesional carreer.

Affirmative team as their main argument mentioned that hobbies and extracurricular activities help students become organised. Which helps them later on in life. Whereas the negative team claimed that the many duties of teenagers today cause depression, which becomes a more topical problem for todays youth.

In a debate not always for both teams it is equally easy or hard to outline the arguments. This time the affirmative team was more convincing and gave more appropriate arguments which convinced the judges.

Students did come to the conclusion, that they do a lot of nonsense in their free time, instead of which they could do many fun things which also would positively influence their carreer in the future (being a volunteer, practising sports, music)
