Debates of form 12c February 14, 2013 Liep ā ja

 The aim of the debate was to encourage students think about their future, to think about how much their leisure time activities influence their future prospects, their future profesional carreer.

 First speaker- Be ā te  Second speaker- Reinis  Third speaker- Eva

 Affirmative team as their main argument mentioned that hobbies and extracurricular activities help students become organised. Which helps them later on in life.  Whereas the negative team claimed that the many duties of teenagers today cause depression, which becomes a more topical problem for todays youth.

 First speaker- Kristaps  Second speaker- Sab ī ne  Third speaker- Dana

 Elvis  Helga  Laura

 El ī na- Negative team  Dace- Affirmative team

 In a debate not always for both teams it is equally easy or hard to outline the arguments.  This time the affirmative team was more convincing and gave more appropriate arguments which convinced the judges.

 Students did come to the conclusion, that they do a lot of nonsense in their free time, instead of which they could do many fun things which also would positively influence their carreer in the future (being a volunteer, practising sports, music)
