Conclusion In regard to the first survey we would make it less repetitive. The questions were similar so it was hard to keep control over the classrooms and get them to participate after they stopped paying attention. Specifically, the bagel question, number five, many people said other, cinnamon raisin. If we were to do the survey again, we would add different selections. In order to gather accurate results we tested a variety of classes and people throughout RHS. We went to Mr. Bearse, Mr. Belizna, and Mr. Condosta’s classrooms. In addition, we surveyed kids in the student center and library.

The second survey went over a lot better than the first. We tested in organized groups and really held people’s attention. Our questions were more precise and reasonable. The only change we would make would be to avoid redundancy. Several of the questions were similar, specifically questions seven and eight. All in all, the second survey was completed efficiently. We got results fast and enjoyed surveying the kids who were cooperative. Few problems were encountered including our bagel supply grew low towards the end so we had to cut smaller pieces. Also, many people tried to take more than one bagel piece which definitely set us back. In addition, it was difficult to get accurate results since everyone influenced each other and didn’t always think on their own.

If changes were to be made we would definitely suggest more survey days. Two days was enough time for the second survey, however the first survey was difficult to get the necessary amount in the given time frame. Another change we would suggest would to have smaller groups. It was hard to get work done and keep everyone in the group in order. The second survey would be improved if it were shorter. Less questions would enable group members to be more precise and get better results. We don’t think ten questions is necessary and often found ourselves repeating questions. The project was a good learning experience. We liked the creative aspect and being able to design our own survey. It was cool to see how people answered and how the data can be utilized.
