3. Fraternities & sororities are values based, membership development organizations that focuses on building brotherhood & sisterhood through; character enhancement, leadership development, academic achievement, commitment to service, life-long friendship and social experiences. THE Problem?

A proactive system of identifying potential risks associated with chapter events and activities; assessing the impact they may have on the chapter, headquarters, and university community; deciding whether to accept the risks, modify the activities, or eliminate the risks altogether, and then monitoring events to ensure successful accomplishment of chapter’s goals.

Risk Management is a Chapter Responsibility !  Accept responsibility as both individuals and members of a campus community  Embrace the proactive processes that serve as the foundation for their partnership among the institution Headquarters and Chapter  Clearly communicate expectations to members and guests  Design proactive processes to empower members to create a safe and productive environment  Respond appropriately to decisions and/or incidents that are not aligned with expectations
