All Rights Reserved. www.schoolnutrition.org NSFBS IS Pre-emptive Reimbursable Meals: (NSLP, NSBP, After School Snacks) All other food sold or consumed during the school day: (school parties, fundraisers, a la carte, vending, teacher rewards/incentives) Standards proposed by USDA: (science-based – adhere to most recent DGA’s, stakeholder input, deadline w/penalty Enforceable & Monitored by local wellness committees Healthier for all children nationwide ISN’T After school activities; I.e. football games, club meetings, etc. No financial implementation to state/local government No federal outlay ($)
