1 The Cuban political system under Castro can be characterized as a –A. dictatorship –B. monarchy –C. parliamentary democracy –D. constitutional monarchy Castro took control of the Cuban government by force in 1959, and has been in power since. Every five years citizens are allowed to vote for officials who will service in an assembly, but all the candidates are from one political party. Castro has people who oppose him put in jail or executed.

6 FACTS Canada is the worlds second largest country in land area. Canada is made up of 10 regions called provinces (sort of like states) and 3 Territories.

7 Thousands of years ago, huge glaciers, or giant sheets of ice, covered most of Canada. The weight of these glaciers pushed much of the land down and created large basins, and highlands as a result Canada has many lakes and inland waterways. PHYSICAL
