4 Types Non-Communicable: non-contagious ▫Heredity/Genetics ▫Environmental Factors ▫Lifestyle Factors Communicable: Infectious (contagious); can be passed from one source to another ▫Pathogens

5 Pathogens AKA—GERMS! Harmful micro-organisms that cause disease Disease results ONLY when the growth of a pathogen begins to injure the cells and tissues of an infected person
