Introductory Thoughts We know why Jesus came to earth. – Luke 19:10 John spends his entire work to accomplish the task of getting folks to believe and receive Jesus. In John 15:13-17, John provides the evidence of Jesus’ friendship towards sinners. Let’s study this evidence this morning.

Seen in His Sacrifice His sacrifice was vicarious. Isaiah 53:4 -6 His sacrifice was vicious. Luke 22:63-64 His sacrifice was voluntary. John 10:17-18 His sacrifice was victorious. 1 Corinthians 15:20-22

Seen in His Sharing He shared His lessons. John 16:13 He shared His love. Romans 5:8 He shared His life. Galatians 2:20 He shared His legacy. Ephesians 5:25-27

Seen in His Salvation He confirms us. Matthew 7:13 -23 He chooses us. Ephesians 2:1 He calls us. Ephesians 2:10 He comforts us. Philippians 4:6-7

Seen in His Strategy He did not come to critique the world. Matthew 7:1-5 He did not come to condemn the world. John 3:16-17 He did not come to compromise with the world. John 17:1 -5 He did not come to confuse the world. 1 Corinthians 14:33

Closing Thoughts Jesus was a friend of sinners. Are you a friend of sinners? What are you doing to inspire the lost? What are you doing to encourage those who do not have a Savior?
