What are some properties of weather? Temperature, Precipitation, Humidity, Air Pressure. What is Weather? Weather is the condition of the atmosphere at a given time and place. Weather is not the same as climate.

Temperature – What is it? How hot or cold something is. The degree of hotness or coldness of a substance or the atmosphere as measured by a thermometer.

Precipitation – What is it? Any form of water that falls from clouds. – Rain – Snow – Sleet – Hail

Humidity – What is it? Humidity is a measure of how much water vapor is in the air. – Air around you that feels damp and sticky.

Air Pressure – What is it? Air pressure is the force of air pressure pushing on us and the place you live.

Climate – What is it? The average weather of an area usually taken over a 30 year period for a particular place and time. Climate is not the same as weather, but rather, it is the average pattern of weather for a particular region. How much rain an area receives. Temperatures of area year after year, etc.
