MONDAY AND TUESDAY – DAYS 1 AND 2 Decide what you are going to research: A piece of technology or a Career. No, you may NOT research the iPhone or iPad. Complete the research page that has been given to you. You need to complete only the side that pertains to you (technology or career) You must write 3-5 sentences per question. You must cite your source (web address) This PowerPoint is available on my website so that you can refer to it at any time. It also contains helpful websites for you to use.

MONDAY AND TUESDAY CONTINUED Scientific Career Research Slide 1: Description of job; what do you do at work? Slide 2: Job requirements; what is expected of you as a Scientist? Slide 3: Educational Requirements What schools will prepare your for this career? How long will you have to go school to be qualified? What kind of degree/certification do you need? Slide 4: Why did you select this career? What interested you about this career? Scientific Technology Research Slide 1: Description of technology What does it look like? What does it do? Slide 2: Creation When was it created? Who created it? Provide some details about this person Slide 3: Advancements Did it replace old technology; why is it better? OR What new problem did is solve? Slide 4: Reasoning Why did you select this technology? What interested you about it?

WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY -Create a PowerPoint presentation about your research -Each question that you answered becomes an individual slide -Each slide needs 1 – 2 pictures. The pictures need to be related to the project and not random emojis -Your final slide needs to be a Works Cited slide, so that you give credit to your sources. -Make sure that your font is legible and that your backgrounds aren’t too dark. -Within those constraints you may be as creative as you want.

FRIDAY - TIME FOR KIDS Read the TIME for Kids magazine Answer the questions on the worksheet that has been provided for you. This is individual work and you will not need a partner or your lab group to finish it Your work is due at the end of the period
