History of the Screw The screw was invented in the first century in Greece. The inventor is unknown.

Screw The screw is a circular inclined plane with a wedge. Screws are self locking They are used in different products such as a bolt, a swivel stool, a jar lid, and a light bulb.

Uses There are two uses of screws, convert a force that goes around into one that goes up and down. For example, a cider press.

Uses Continued Screws can thread things so that two things are locked together and can’t fall apart. The most common use of screws today.
