4. Pilate’s Confusion  “Many claim to have the Truth.”  “I see no reason to believe YOU have the Truth.”

5. Man’s Confusion  Like Naaman (2 Kings 5) Sent to wrong source Refused to accept the right source  Lies about the nature of Truth: “Everyone has their version of the Truth.” “Truth is relative to your situation.” “Truth is what you feel in your heart.”

6. Rejecters of Truth  Cynic, Skeptic, Doubter: “There is no Truth.” Eyes & Ears that will not see or hear (Matt 13:14-15; Jn 20:25)  Opinionated, Prejudiced: “My mind is already made up.” Truth must be sought out (Pro 23:23; Matt 7:7; Matt 13:44-45).

7. Receivers of Truth  Those who are humble (Matt 5:1-12)  Those who mourn over sin  Those who are gentle kind & forgiving  Those who hunger for Truth  Those who are merciful in heart  Those who are pure in heart  Those who make peace  Those who are persecuted for Truth

8. Receivers of Truth  John 8:31-32 – Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, & the truth shall make you free."  John 18:37 – Jesus answered [Pilate], "You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, & for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice."
