This is another photo that represents my love for all things involving the environment. Whether its ecology, zoology, or environmental studies, they all effect me in different ways, and this photo shows how they represent the entire world in a negative way. Its a semi-accurate graphical representation of what will happen to the world if climate change proceeds to get worse within the next several years. One of the biggest problems is how if the world temperature increases too much, the ice caps and glaciers will melts, flooding much of the world. This is something that I want more and more people to become aware of because it is such a major problem. Additionally, I find that the way this problem is represented in this photo very powerful and impactful. Photos like this should definitely be made more aware of and be shown more often to increase the number of people who are becoming more aware of the worlds inevitable problem.

I found this graph online while I was researching the effects of climate change because I had read online that the winter of 2015 was the warmest winter since temperature recordings began over a hundred years ago. Hearing this astonished me, so I was really curious and I wanted to learn more about it. This graph shows how the temperature has increased dramatically over time since 1901 in the United States. I am fascinated by the concept and the factors the have lead to such a serious climate change, and I am genuinely concerned about the rising temperatures and the repercussions that it will have as it continues to worsen. I am an advocate for stopping climate change, and I try to include it in my artwork as often as I can. I even want to pursue a future in environmental studies, and tie it into my other main interest, fashion design, in any way that I possibly can. Environmentally sustainable manufacturing, fabrics, and dyes are important. The clothing industry is so large, that by taking environmentally sustainable measures, in can have a tremendously positive effect in trying to slow down climate change.

Before seeing this image, I had no idea that the Fashion Industry used so much water. I knew that it was not good for the environment, and that the factories were very polluting towards the environment, but I had no idea about their water usage. This motivates me to get this fact to be more well known, and spread the word. Additionally, one of the reasons why this is the case is because of fast fast fashion.

This is one of my favorite images of all time. In the photo are two of my favorite things. One being the fact that its a photo of Alexander McQueen, and the fact that he's wearing a cloth with a skull over half of his face. Alexander McQueen has inspired many of my art projects and fashion designs. Many of his main inspirations of his fashion lines are things that inspire me as well, such as nature and gothic art. Additionally, I am fascinated how he used unconventional materials in many of his pieces. He uses unconventional materials to make beautiful architectural fashions pieces that are more than just clothes, but pieces of wearable art. He is by far my favorite fashion designer, and I find his story and all of his work very inspiring to me, which is why I have included this picture and other works of his in this curiosity journal.

This photo is of a fashion model modeling one of my all time favorite garments, a gown by the designer Ellie Saab.

This photo shows the side of the fashion industry that nobody ever sees. The side that isn't all glitz, glamor and couture gowns, but the exact opposite. Many fashion companies have their clothing made, manufactured, and mass produced in terribly harsh work environments, while they are making almost no money. Along with this, there factories emit very toxic gasses and chemicals into the environment. This has a tremendous effect on global warming and climate change.
