Operating systems Folders and documents Computers are vulnerable to breakdowns and data loss caused by viruses This can lead to data loss – files on the computer can be deleted/lost Backups To protect us from data loss we copy our files to a different drive – called backup So the process is the same as copying files/folders

Operating systems Folders and documents Ctrl + C : Copies a file or folder Ctrl + X : Cuts a file or folder Important keyboard shortcuts Ctrl + V : Pastes a file or folder in a location Ctrl + A : Selects all files and/or folders in a location Ctrl + Z : Undoes the previous action – especially an accidental move or deletion Delete: Sends a file or folder to the Recycle bin
