KEY CONSIDERATIONS Avoid duplication of current activities / co-ordinate with Eurostat and other international organisations, in particular, UN agencies Business and consumer opinion survey work and CLIs are undertaken by another forum with EC / CIRET National accounts and trade statistics dealt with by other working parties serviced by STD

4. POSSIBLE WORK OVER NEXT TWELVE MONTHS FLOWING FROM THIS MEETING 1. Completion of work of OECD / Eurostat task force on performing revisions analysis on STES 2. Presentation and dissemination of STES – focus on metadata, especially on national practices re linkage with data 3. Implementation of key recommendations in the OECD Presentation Handbook – 6-7 high priority themes, 3-4 key indicators 4. Implementation of revised classifications / backcasting 5. Seasonal adjustment – continue to piggyback on Eurostat guidelines, seek and provide views of non-EU OECD member countries + SA practices in NMEs

Involves use of questionnaire to collect information on SA, coverage, sample size, non-response. OECD could extend existing studies recently done by Eurostat (IIP, Retail Trade) to non EU countries?
