2 Objective Salud y Orgullo Mexicano, which means “health and Mexican pride”, will address clients’ socioeconomic challenges and barriers to health care by identifying men of Mexican descent who are HIV positive, and then engaging and retaining them in HIV primary care.

3 Intervention Description Priority population- Men of Mexican descent Service delivery settings- community health clinic, health fairs, street festivals Strategies Social marketing campaign- bus shelter ads, radio ads Identification- in-reach through existing programs of the AIDS Foundation of Chicago and Erie Family Health Center and outreach to agencies working with the target population and to clients at health fairs and community festivals. Linkage-to-Care- Promotores de Salud in an ARTAS-modeled intervention Retention- peer services Client incentives- for completion of evaluation survey Staffing/staff training- clinic staff and peer staff, People-to-People Training

11 At Erie Family Health Center, health care is a right, not a privilege. Its mission is to provide accessible, affordable and high quality health care for those in need. Services include: Medical and dental services, including the provision of health care, women’s health care, maternal and family care, primary pediatric care, primary adult care, primary adolescent care, high risk case management, maternal child care management, community behavioral health, HIV/AIDS services, and oral health care.

12 Dr. Ana Martínez-Donate, an Assistant Professor in the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Department of Population Health Sciences will serve as a consultant for Salud y Orgullo Mexicano. Dr. Martínez-Donate will provide guidance in regard to Salud y Orgullo Mexicano’s program design, implementation, and evaluation procedures.
