What is a career? A JOB is a paid position requiring a group of specific attributes and skills that enable a person to perform tasks in an organization either part-time or full-time for a short or long duration. An OCCUPATION is defined as a group of similar jobs found in different industries or organizations.

What is a career? A CAREER is the sequence and variety of occupations which one undertakes throughout a lifetime. More broadly, 'career ' includes life roles, leisure activities, learning and work. CAREER DEVELOPMENT is the process of managing life, learning and work over the lifespan.

What is certification? Certification is a designation earned by a person to assure qualification to perform a job or task.

How to obtain certification Depends on the area. You may have to… –Take a series of courses or –Take and pass an examination After successfully completing it, a certificate will be granted.

Benefits of certification for employees Career – noticable to prospective employers Career – salary Professional – credibility among peers & an edge over others Job Security Additional career opportunities
