8  Stoichiometry is the study of quantities in chemical reactions.  Coefficients describe the number of moles of reactants and products involved in the reaction.  The molar ratio is the ratio of coefficients for two substances in a reaction.  The molar ratio is used to determine the amounts reactant needed, or product formed in a chemical reaction.
