Cells, Tissues, Organs and Organ Systems! http://science- resources.co.uk/KS3/Biology/Life_Processes_and_Cells/cells_Tissues_Organs_and_Or ganisms.htm
2
Organ Cell Organ System Tissue Organism Muscle cell Muscle Heart Circulatory system Human As cells have lots of different functions they are often specialised to do a particular job. This means that they have special features that make them well adapted at carrying out these functions.
3
A single cell (palisade) A group of similar cells doing the same job is called a TISSUE. Each tissue perform a particular function within an organism. An ORGAN is made up of different type of tissues A group of organs working together make an ORGAN SYSTEM. And a group of ORGAN SYSTEMS working together make a whole ORGANISM Palisade Tissue Organ (leaf) Organism (flower) In Plants

In Animals Single Cell (muscle) Muscle TissueOrgan (Heart) Circulatory System
5
What different Organs Do You Know? Organ
7
Add to your circle diagram the different organ systems you know (underneath the correct organ).
8
Organs An organ is made from a group of different tissues, which all work together to do a particular job. Here are some examples of organs: 1.heart 2.lung 3.stomach 4.brain 5.leaf 6.root You should be able to explain what tissues and organs are (level 5)
9
Organ systems An organ system is made from a group of different organs, which all work together to do a particular job. Here are some examples of organ systems: 1.circulatory system 2.respiratory system 3.digestive system 4.nervous system 5.reproductive system 6.leaf canopy
10
Get Organised!!!! Correctly label on your diagram the organs in the correct places within the human body What I’m Looking for.. You must be able to describe the location of major human organs (level 4) Large intestine eye small intestine kidneys liver stomach lungs heart brain ear
