Mimesis is the imitation of action and nature according to the law of probability and the law of necessity

The Universe is constantly in motion. Primo mobile. The poet must imitate nature and the universe in his play in order to teach the audience

Aristotle said the poet had to imitate nature through his play. Plato though poet was a liar because he made nature imitate his play.

Cause: Followed law of probability. Effect: No coincidences, everything has an effect. Purpose: All chain-link events have purpose.

Plot should derive form history History is essentially a myth or a legend. Mimesis is directly connected with the plot

Like tragedy Mimesis also applies the Law of Necessity and the Law of Probability. Tragedy and Mimesis show what could happen

Mimesis is a psychological matter. Imitates and explains nature, Universe and the interaction between them.

History is what has happened Tragedy is what could happen Philosophy is what should happen.
