3. Storage Must be more than 24 inches from ceiling
If you need anything moved, please inform us so we can take care of it.

5. No Piggyback Surge Protectors

6. Can’t Have Paper on Doors/Windows

7. Classroom Walls Paper can’t cover more than 50% of your wall
Leave 6 inches around all electrical outlets

8. Fabric or Furniture
Fabric on walls or windows, or any furniture needs to have documentation that it is flame retardant

9. No 3D Paper Items on Walls
Can’t do this or other 3D paper items (e.g. masks) on walls

10. Clear Fire Extinguisher and Alarms
No distractions near it

11. Electrical Panels Must Be Accessible
Not good

12. Hanging Items from the Ceiling
No more than 5 or 6 hanging items
Must be non-combustibles such as a chain of paper clips
FYI – Don’t hang any students from the ceiling

13. Earthquake Safe
Items must be safe, will not potentially fall and hurt someone
Make sure storage items are secure

15. Storage or Cabinets on Wheels
Wheels must be in locked position

16. No Tripping Hazards
Watch chairs, backpacks, electrical cords, etc….

17. No Candles (decoration, aroma)
Can’t have any candles at all!!!

18. No Electric Heating Supplies
No coffee cup heaters, no electric frying pans, etc…

19. In summary…. Be fire safe Let’s try to pass on the first inspection
Use safety common sense
It’s not about just passing the inspection, it’s about being proactive to be safe
