4 2.Introduction Welcome to a basic course on family, health and disease The course introduces concept of family health, risk and its in family health, The course also presents a rationale for Maternal Health Care, International Child Survival Strategies and Family Planning programmes in ensuring adequate and appropriate response to the problems. 5 Aim This course will seek to develop students’ generic skills in a area of reproductive health.
