1. Project: Create your own conversation (20 points) 1.Please find your own partners (a group of 2 or 3). 2.You need to create a conversation between partners. The conversation must be at least 20 complete sentences (not including hello, good morning, what?, goodbye). 3.Your conversation must make use of the following patterns (at least 15 sentences from the patterns). Also it should be in the form of Q&A. 4.Do a video-recording of your conversation. Due next Friday (3/20). 5.You can ask me to look at your script if needed. (optional)

( 这是 … 的吗 ?) 4.I like…/I don’t like… ( 我喜欢 …/ 我不喜欢 …) sports, food 5.I can…/I can’t… ( 我会 …/ 我不会 …) sports or languages 6.I want to eat…/I want to drink…( 我想吃 …/ 我想喝 ) 7.I like to eat…/I like to drink…( 我喜欢吃 …/ 我喜欢喝 …) 8.How about you? ( 你呢 ?) & use “also…” in the sentence (.. 也..). 9.Ask birthdays and answer. 10. Invite somebody to your house. 11. Describe someone’s facial features. 12. Ask dates or days of the week and answer.

Grading 10 points (individual presentation) 10 points (no mistake, no hesitation, clear about your lines, no need for looking at the script) 9 points (a few mistakes or hesitations, unclear pronunciation occasionally, looking at the script occasionally) 8 points (quite a few mistakes, unclear pronunciation, looking at script all the time) Under 8 points (not coherent, a lot of mistakes)

4. Grading 10 points (group presentation) Starting from 5 and will add 1 point if you - At least 15 sentences from the patterns -At least 20 complete sentences in your conversation -All members in the group are doing the talk about the same amount. - A nice setting, background music, etc. -The design of the conversation is close to real-life conversation
