4. OARnet’s Current Plan OARnet’s attorneys have determined OARnet will need to be compliant OARnet is using this information to do the following ✓ Create one additional FTE (we need it anyway) ✓ Deploy Netflow ubiquitously throughout the network (we needed to do that anyway)

5. OARnet’s Current Plan ✓ Junipers will support remote port mirroring ✓ Remaining engaged with Quilt (has folks working Capital Hill) ✓ Remaining engaged in Educause and Statnets

Things to Consider If OARnet is sole source, you may be CALEA compliant i.e. we attach to the internet (OSU precedent) not your college If you are dual homed, you may need to be CALEA compliant Other factors include: ‣ Whose fiber comes to your campus ‣ Who operates the network equipment and where is it located ‣ Can just anyone use a terminal in your library
