1/ 2/ 3/ 4/ 5/ Listeria monocytogenes bacteria 1/ it is a gram positive 2/ extremely antibiotic resistant coccoid to bacillus shaped bacteria found in environment 3/ live in soil,in poorly made silage & spoiled forages & DI tract & mammary GI 4/ found in feces of infected birds, wild mammals fish,insects& fetal feces ( meconium) 5/ shedded in nasal discharge, uterine discharge, aborted fetus 26/10/2015 Pm lecture

Listeriosis is most prevalent during spring & winter months, w` suggests prevalance of l. monocytogenes thus management practice can be applied to minimize the risk of infection 26/10/2015 Pm lecture
