P3s (Public-Private-Partnerships) Recommendations Self Assessment Identify willing organizations to form partnerships at local, regional and international levels Identify where RCEs can become “consultants” in CSR policies Empowering, engaging and educating the community based on specific needs Structure Create an appropriate, functional and formal RCE structure for corporations to commit to RCEs Must create professional branch for RCEs to become expert resources in ESD for tangible and qualitative results, cradle to cradle (results based accountability, not green washing) RCEs to become ESD change agents for corporations Visibility RCEs must become more visible/accountable/attractive for corporations to reach out for ESD expertise Must be able to communicate our competitive advantage to potential external partners Set up training seminars/workshops for corporations, public institutions and RCEs, how can we all learn from each other, knowledge sharing How do we help corporations with their work (savings, selling) 2

P3s (Public-Private-Partnerships) Programmes Development of a sustainable development fund (monetary, capacity, mentoring, knowledge) to promote ESD with RCEs Develop a RCE Sustainable Development Business Competition (economic, environmental, or social innovation) Tap into RCE experts as “Judges” Must create mutualistic P3 partnerships Actions RCEs need to share best practices and learnings with P3s already established in their own RCEs RCEs to use self-assessment tool already established by UNU to identify local needs 3
