2. Trade papers with a partner. Complete the peer editing form. Discuss the results of your editing with your partner. Engage in constructive criticism and give them feedback. – Tell them both things they did well and areas they could improve upon.

3. Self-Editing Underline/highlight your thesis. How many sentences do you have in each paragraph? Write the number in the margins and circle it. Highlight the first word of each sentence. Identify any words you use repeatedly. How many words does each sentence have? Write the number above each sentence. How many quotes did you use? Identify the lead- in to each quote – are they varied? Do you clearly explain each quote and tell your audience why it is significant?
