Interpreting the Amendments You are going to perform a short research project on one of the 27 amendments. I will assign you the amendments and who you will work with (if anyone) Your presentation will be due on Thursday

Interpreting the Amendments You will prepare a written and oral report on your amendment. During the process, you will collect information about all 27 amendments and hand this in.

Interpreting the Amendments (analysis) – This is the written portion of your project Identification - Name and Number of the Amendment Ratification - When it was ratified Historical Context – What was going on around the time this amendment was proposed/discussed/ratified. Why was the amendment proposed? Reasoning – Why was this amendment proposed? Who was being hurt? Why was this amendment necessary? Who would be helped? Impact – What happened after the amendment was passed? What changed?
