THE 18 HOLE RULE There is no specific date when this started It was started by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club Clubs did not have to follow this rule

18 HOLE RUMOR There are 18 holes of golf because it takes 18 shots to terminate a fifth of Scotch A member from St. Andrews found this
