What is a ratio? A Ratio is a comparison between two things. Example - 3 apples to 4 oranges

Ratios Clarissa has 4 blue marbles and 2 green marbles. What is the ratio of blue marbles to green marbles? 4 blue marbles to 2 green marbles; 4:2 What is the ratio of green marbles to blue marbles? 2 green marbles to 4 blue marbles; 2:4

Ratios Eric has a jar filled with gumballs. In the jar there are 15 white gumballs, 20 blue gumballs, 10 yellow gumballs, 12 red gumballs and 8 green gumballs. What is the ratio of yellow gumballs to blue gumballs? 10 yellow to 20 blue 10:20
