3. Construction schedule Key dates: -All racks ready for beginning June -Installation during July/August -Test/commissioning beginning September

Gas distribution racks - Gas distribution is made using Festo pneumatic units controlled through profibus - System tested for ageing in TRT test set-up - All material received - Construction of distribution racks is started Check/finalize length and routing of last capillary pipe on the chambers to be discussed

Mixer and Control racks - Mixer and Control racks are in a early stage of construction - 70% of material for Mixer is arrived - For Control rack layout we are waiting few inputs on PLC and interfaces choices - 24 V power supplies to be ordered - We expect to fix these points this week MixerControl rack

6. Conclusions The construction of the gas system for the NA62 Straw detector is on going Gas distribution racks are a bit more advanced mixer and control racks are still on-schedule URD for the software controls definition is started and it will be send to EN in 1-2 weeks Software controls (EN) expected to be read beginning September Review/Update of the status in about 2 months (when all racks should be almost ready) Budget status Used about 60% of allocated budget Mainly for materials.
