Bell Ringer: On a piece of paper answer the following questions. You have 10 minutes. 1) Define czar: 2) What was “Bloody Sunday” and what was the purpose? 3) If you were czar, what would you have done for the serfs when they came in peace to talk with you?

In conclusion: 1) Take out your Russian Empire readings from yesterday and turn it to the second page. Next to each statistic, write a smiley face or a frown showing the feelings of the serfs! 2) Predict Russia’s future if the Czar Nicholas II had listened to the serfs on Bloody Sunday?
