Your brain controls every single thing you do. Your brain contains about 100 billion microscopic cells called neurons; so many it would take you over 3,000 years to count them all! Your brain generates enough electricity to power a light bulb. Neurons send information to your brain at more than 150 miles per hour. When you learn, you change the structure of your brain. The total length of nerve fibres in the brain is between 150,000 and 180,000 kilometres - enough to go around the Earth about four times! After you've exercised, your body produces a chemical that makes it easier for your brain to learn.
