English I December 7, 2015 Bell work: Bell work: Copy the definition of “euphemism” from the board and the examples we generate in class. Create ONE original euphemism and circle it. (25) Agenda: 1. Share BW and turn in #21-25. 2. Groups: Analyze and evaluate argumentative essay using rubric. Share common/different phrasing for category of rubric and grade w/ examples from essay. 3. Develop a plan for revising the student essay using Argumentative Essay Writing Checklist. 4. Develop a plan for revising your essay based on today’s discussion and using the Argumentative Essay Writing Checklist.

Independent and Subordinate Clauses 1. Every day teachers throw away hundred of sheets of paper that they should be recycling. 2. Since landfills are getting full, our school doesn’t need to be contributing to the problem. 3. If our teachers recycled in our classrooms, it would set a good example for students.
