Font: Text of a certain design, available in hundreds of varieties. Called typeface. Style: The way a font looks: Bold, Italic, regular Points: The measurement of a font’s height 72 points is one inch high most text is 12 points high. The text gets bigger as it gets taller. Monospace: A font in which all the letters are the same width like on old typewriters. Courier is a monospaced font. Proportional: A font whose letters are only as wide as they need to be. The I is skinny, and the W is wide. Most new fonts are proportional such as Times, Helvetica, Geneva, etc. Important things to remember about font

Important things to remember about fonts Serif: A font with doodads on the end of the letters, like little ornaments on a Christmas tree. Times, Courier, Palatino are Serif fonts San Serif: A blocky font without doodads on the ends of the letters.
