3 Our philosophy Kinja FC is a youth organization that delivers football programmes in the community We use a unique methodology and have an innovative and advanced approach to coaching football to girls and boys of all skills. At Kinja FC we believe in providing a positive learning environment where players are challenged and are allowed to develop technically, tactically, physically and psychologically. We believe the balance of fun and learning is essential to the development of a player. We never forget that football is a game. We do it seriously and professionally, aiming to bridge the gap between elite and grassroots football.

4 Our case studies The lessons we learned and the successes we achieved Regan Commitment, dedication and passion Deja Bad companies, outside influences and our effort Our under 17 girls group Integration, inclusive and cross race/religion/background towards social cohesion

5 Our projects Why we grew from 12 girls to over 200 in 5 years Quality environment, coaches and girls only sessions [punctual, organised, clean and appropriate equipment, well planned sessions] Involving families [communicate, explain, code of conduct, strict but fair] Learning environment and exit strategies [we are UEFA coaches, work with National FA coaches and partnership with Arsenal and Nike] Social interaction and healthy lifestyle [girls and boys interact, confront, challenge and experience] The inspiration and the accessibility [from our pitches you can see the inspirational Wembley Ark and you can get there easily] Playing with good players and international tours [our players are challenged and rewarded]

6 Breaking barriers The challenges we face and overcome The families resistance [religious and traditional stereotypes that still dominate certain environments] The cost issue [bursaries, grant, paid work for older athletes and help from others] The pull of bad companies [we give them an alternative, a future, a way of being different and better] My life is so complicated [we talk with players and help them go through difficult periods of their lives] I am not good enough [we answer “Yet, you are not good enough YET” and work to help their self esteem]
