1 Dr. Dean

2  This course introduces students to the systematic and scientific study of the behavior and mental processes of human beings and other animals. Included is a consideration of the psychological facts, principles and phenomena associated with each of the major subfields within psychology. Major topics include the various perspectives from which psychologies view behavior and mental processes. They range from a study of the brain and child development to personality and psychological disorders. Students will also learn about the ethics and methods psychologists use in their science and practice.

3  Students who take the AP Psychology and Sociology class will receive Dual Credit through New Mexico Junior College  Sociology in the Fall  Psychology in the Spring  Students will be required to take the AP Psychology exam in May.
