1. In 2008 the economical depression hit Finland and Satakuntas unemployment number got higher, mostly with the ones working in manufactories. Since the beginning of 2010 the situation has got slightly better.

2. The depression influenced Huittinen just the same as the whole Satakunta in 2008. The situation has got a little better since the late 2009.

3. Satakunta: economic structure - In 2010 Service sector: 60,6 % Industrial sector: 34 % Primary sector: 5,4 % -In future: The sector of bioeconomics and energy will grow. There will be big differences between communities in Satakunta. Some will succeed, some don’t.

4. Huittinen: economic structure - In 2010 Service sector: 58,8% Industrial sector: 27,8 % Primary sector: 11,9 % Others: 1,5 % - In future: will be doing better than some areas. The service sector and business will grow thanks to good location as a crossroad.
