PURPOSE To evaluate the early clinical functional outcomes of Flexivue™ Micro-Lens (Presbia Coöperatief U.A. ) for corneal implant, in increasing the depth of field in emmetropic, presbyopic patients
3
METHODS Prospective unmasked study 29 presbyopic, naturally emmetropic patients Lens placed on visual axis over the pupil Non-dominant eye Postoperatively examinations: 1 day, 1 week, 1 and 3 months: – near and distance visual acuity (VA) – slit-lamp microscopy – OCT-Visante Questionnaire to grade satisfaction at 3 month
4
METHODS: the surgical procedure A mask designed to create a specific tunnel and pocket for inlay insertion iFS femtosecond laser 150KHz prepared the pocket Lens placed on visual axis over the pupil
5
The result BASELINE 1 HOUR 1 WEEK 1 MONTH 3 MONTH

OUR RESULTS All 29 surgeries were uneventful The mean postoperative uncorrected near VA increased from J4 (3,97+/-0,87) to J2 (2,21+/- 0,77) The mean uncorrected distance VA changed from 0,98+/-0,06 to 0,81+/-0,1 in Snellen lines after 3 months In all eyes the cornea was clear: no relevant haze throughout our follow-up Most of our patient did not use reading glasses in normal lighting condition
