4. THE CREATOR 24:1 The earth is the LORD's and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein, 2 for he has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers.

And who shall stand in his holy place? 4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully. 5 He will receive blessing from the LORD and righteousness from the God of his salvation. 6 Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek the face of the God of Jacob.

CLEAN HANDS; PURE HEART; NO IDOLS Idol: anything that competes with God in your heart & mind Idol: “anything so central and essential to your life that, should you lose it, your life would feel hardly worth living” Timothy Keller Colossians 3:5 Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.

CLEAN HANDS; PURE HEART; NO IDOLS Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. 1 Corinthians 10:31 So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

13. THE KING OF GLORY 24:7 Lift up your heads, O gates! And be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. 8 Who is this King of glory? The LORD, strong and mighty, the LORD, mighty in battle! 9 Lift up your heads, O gates! And lift them up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. 10 Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory!

THE KING OF GLORY 1 Timothy 6: 14 until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 which he will display at the proper time—he who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords Revelation 19:11 Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! THE KING OF GLORY Revelation 3:18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, so that you may see. 19 Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.

PRINCIPLES The LORD is the owner of everything because He created everything Those who are redeemed and being sanctified are allowed to worship and enjoy the LORD All believers should constantly evaluate their character, their actions, and their desires Jesus Christ is the King of Glory, mighty in battle, and He will return

17. APPLICATIONS Are you a moralist, a hypocrite or redeemed? Do you joyfully submit to The LORD as your Creator, Savior and King? What idols and persistent sins hinder your worship and enjoyment of The LORD? What is more important to you than an intimate relationship with The King of Glory? What will you do to have clean hands, a pure heart and no idols?
