2.  Originally born under the name Seymour Kaufman on June 14, 1929 in the Bronx of New York, New York  Started his career at 9 years old, playing piano at places like Town Hall, Carnegie Hall, and Steinway Hall  Studied at The High School of Music and Art and New York College of Music  Composed his first major musical Wildcat in 1962  Died Nov. 18, 2004

3.  Will Rodgers Follies, Wildcat, City of Angels, Sweet Charity, Little Me, On The Twentieth Century, Barnum, I Love My Wife, The Life  Colman was awarded Tonys for Best Musical and Best Original Score two years in a row for City of Angels in 1990 and Will Rogers in 1991

4.  Cy writes in a very jazzy style, not necessarily swing, but more towards classic jazz  He usually writes very upbeat songs for musical comedy shows
