John Griffith London (1876-1916)

John Griffith London was born on January 12, 1876 to Flora wellman a wealthy women from the upper crust of society, and William chaney a journalist, lawyer, and astronmist. The two were un married and young john never knew his father. He grew up in San Francisco where he was raised by an ex-slave nanny becasuse his mother was often times too ill to care for Young John. Call of the Wild shows the culture of the mountain men in search of gold. It also gives an inside look into the psychology of dogs and how they communicate. It goes on to explain how the main character becomes a legend among a group of Indian and how he will forever be apart of their culture LIFE IN THE FREEZING NORTH & THE MAKING OF A LEGEND
