African Centre for Statistics Dec 2014: the CSC of the African Project on 2008 SNA requested an assessment of countries needs for the implementation of the 2008 SNA, to obtain an overview of these needs Dec 2014 - May 2015: Secretariat conducted the needs assessment survey, with 47 countries responding April - May 2015: Survey on partners’ response to countries’ needs 1. 11. African Centre for Statistics The needs of 16 countries are at least partially covered, by provision for training and technical assistance. This should lead to producing GDP by production and expenditure approaches compliant with the 2008 SNA. For 14 countries, the available assistance is depending on the availability of resources to sponsor the assistance missions. The needs of five countries are yet to addressed.
