Solve multi-step problems using a calculator Apply calculation techniques

First, be amazed… O Choose any three digit number, but each of the digits must be the same. O For example: 222 or 444

Now O Add up all of the digits.

Then O Divide the original three digit number you thought of by the total of the digits you added up.

Guess what? The answer is 37

How did I know?

Watch This: O 3 + 3 + 3 = 9 O 333 divided by 9 = 37. O 8 + 8 + 8 = 24 O 888 divided by 24 = 37 O The answer will always be 37!

Backchat - Calculators can make words as well as numbers. Turn it upside-down to read these! O 1. 31 x 7 = 2. 3859 x 2 = O 3. 1929 x 4 = 4. 179 x 3 = O 5. 1911 x 3 = 6. 49612 + 5766 = O 7. 3651 + 1986 = 8. 29611 + 8207 = O 9. 0.0123 + 0.0668 = 10. 5632 + 2082 = O 11. 66666 + 10679 = 12. 0.8968 – 0.1234 = O 13. 6311 + 1427 = 14. 0.18 + 0.19 = Calculator Fun!

Extension – Work out the calculations – choose the letter from a scrabble set, or laminated set of letters to crack the code!
