11 How can we identify and describe parallel and intersecting lines? A LINE goes on and on FOREVER in a STRAIGHT path in TWO directions. Since you can’t show it all, you can draw part of it and add arrowheads to show that it continues. When two lines MEET, the point where they cross is like an intersection of streets. These lines are called INTERSECTING LINES. Intersecting lines that form square corners are PERPENDICULAR LINES. If the lines NEVER intersect, they are called PARALLEL LINES.
