Goal 1.6 million ankle sprains per year (AAOS) Need to simulate muscle responses to a loss of balance Simulate balance loss without injuring subject

General Design 3’ x 3’ variable support section Section supported at all times by springs: 6 inch outer diameter 8 inch height Spring constant: 5-10 lb/inch
